Where is my mind…?

so goes the famous Pixies track… The answer, in the not too distant future (if Microsoft research pans out), will be on your hard-drive.  

I have to say I did stumble across this research project (or a similar one a few years ago) that i suppose fell under the umbrella of Life Caching. The concept: that as we move into a fully digital age why not store all of our interactions with the world, be they conversations, pictures, movements, music, pictures etc, in an way that they could be easily found and even shared as requried.

 

It seems that the research program has moved on, and Gordon Bell, a researcher for Microsoft recently spoke to CNN about his MyLifeBits project – full details here. One to watch…
